Daniel Oginga Okal is an accomplished Organizational Development Associate at SkillTechs Consultancy, bringing over 30 years of cross-functional experience across education, finance, human resources, and organizational performance improvement. A Certified ROI Professional (CRP), Daniel is widely respected for his ability to connect learning, talent development, and organizational strategy to measurable business outcomes. His work is grounded in evidence-based methodologies that enhance accountability, performance, and return on human capital investment.

Daniel began his career as a Teacher of Mathematics and Physics before transitioning into the corporate sector with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB). During his 15-year tenure in KCB’s Finance Department, he rose to the position of Finance Department Manager – Receivables and Tax. His leadership journey later expanded into capacity development when he was appointed Training Manager at KCB Uganda, where he led large-scale learning initiatives across regional operations. He subsequently served for eight years in KCB Group Human Resources – Talent, Learning and Development, culminating in the role of Training Manager, International Business, overseeing learning and talent development programs across KCB subsidiaries in East Africa.

For the past eight years, Daniel has worked as a Performance Improvement Consultant, supporting organizations to design, implement, and evaluate learning and performance solutions. He is a Partner of ROI Institute (USA) and the Founder of Okal Githinji Consultants and ROI Institute Kenya, where he has championed the adoption of ROI Methodology® and Talent Development Reporting Principles (TDRp) across Africa. He is also a TVET-licensed Trainer, Assessor, Verifier, and Curriculum Developer, contributing to national competency-based training reforms.

Daniel collaborates with the Human Resource Management Professionals Examining Board (HRMPEB) as a Testing Tools Developer and Evaluator and serves in leadership roles within community and research-focused organizations.
