Daniel Oginga Okal, CRP

Daniel Oginga Okal is an accomplished Organizational Development Associate at SkillTechs Consultancy, bringing over 30 years of cross-functional experience across education, finance, human resources, and organizational performance improvement. A Certified ROI Professional (CRP), Daniel is widely respected for his ability to connect learning, talent development, and organizational strategy to measurable business outcomes. His work is grounded in evidence-based methodologies that enhance accountability, performance, and return on human capital investment.

Daniel began his career as a Teacher of Mathematics and Physics before transitioning into the corporate sector with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB). During his 15-year tenure in KCB’s Finance Department, he rose to the position of Finance Department Manager – Receivables and Tax. His leadership journey later expanded into capacity development when he was appointed Training Manager at KCB Uganda, where he led large-scale learning initiatives across regional operations. He subsequently served for eight years in KCB Group Human Resources – Talent, Learning and Development, culminating in the role of Training Manager, International Business, overseeing learning and talent development programs across KCB subsidiaries in East Africa.

For the past eight years, Daniel has worked as a Performance Improvement Consultant, supporting organizations to design, implement, and evaluate learning and performance solutions. He is a Partner of ROI Institute (USA) and the Founder of Okal Githinji Consultants and ROI Institute Kenya, where he has championed the adoption of ROI Methodology® and Talent Development Reporting Principles (TDRp) across Africa. He is also a TVET-licensed Trainer, Assessor, Verifier, and Curriculum Developer, contributing to national competency-based training reforms.

Daniel collaborates with the Human Resource Management Professionals Examining Board (HRMPEB) as a Testing Tools Developer and Evaluator and serves in leadership roles within community and research-focused organizations. At SkillTechs Consultancy, he brings deep expertise in learning impact evaluation, organizational performance improvement, and strategic human capital development to support sustainable client success.

Augustus Munyu Muthoka is a seasoned Organizational Development Associate at SkillTechs Consultancy, with over 20 years of professional experience providing Human Resources and Organizational Development consulting services across the public, private, and non-profit sectors in Kenya, South Sudan, and the wider East Africa region. He is recognized for his strong client engagement skills and his ability to work closely with CEOs and senior leadership teams to diagnose organizational capacity gaps and implement practical, results-driven HR and OD solutions.

Augustus is the Managing Partner of InterAfrica Consultants and serves as an Associate Consultant with several reputable consulting firms in Kenya, including PKF Consulting Limited, Manpower Services Ltd, Selwood Management Consultants, Corporate Staffing Services, and the Academy of Certified Human Resource Professionals (ACHRP), among others. Through these roles, he has led and supported a wide range of consultancy assignments covering recruitment and executive search, job evaluation and grading, organizational reviews, HR skills audits, performance management systems, strategic planning, and HR policy development. His consulting portfolio spans major public institutions, regulatory authorities, state corporations, NGOs, and private sector organizations.

In addition to consultancy work, Augustus is an accredited trainer in the Retirement Planning Programme coordinated by the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA), delivering structured training to members of approved retirement benefit schemes across Kenya. His facilitation experience includes industrial relations, change management, performance management, supervisory skills development, employment contracts, executive development, and pre-retirement planning for middle and senior managers across diverse industries.

Academically, Augustus holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Kenyatta University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. He is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
